Are you Saved?

Do you know that you are 100% sure you are going to Heaven after you die? The Bible says you CAN know! There are a few things in the Bible we need to understand first, let me show you!

♥ 1) Admit that you are a sinner.  "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" -Romans 3:23 KJV. The Bible says that we are all sinners. All of us. Sin is breaking God's Law, we have all sinned, and will continue to. At some point in our lives we have told lies, stolen and have even had foolish thoughts. Unfortunately there is a punishment for sinning.

♥ 2) Realize the Penalty for sin. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" -Romans 6:23 KJV. Wages = payment. When my husband goes to work he is earning a wage. When we sin, our wages is death. It is not referring to dying, because we will all die, but it is referring to a second death, hell. "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." -Revelation 20:14-15 KJV. So according to the Bible, all sinners deserve to go to hell. That is the bad news.

♥ 3) Believe that Jesus Christ died, was Buried, and Rose from the dead. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord " -Romans 3:23 KJV. This is the gospel, here is the good news! The second part of that verse says there is a gift from God, that gift is eternal (which means eternity = forever) and we CAN have that, despite being sinners! Jesus had no sin, yet he went to hell to pay for ours. He died to pay for our sins. It is done, it is already paid for.

♥ 4) Trust Jesus Christ Alone for Salvation. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV. The word grace is something you do not deserve, you didn't earn it or paid for it but rather you received it freely. The word saved means being saved from hell. Faith means to believe, to trust. Salvation is a gift, not a reward. Jesus paid for this beautiful gift so we can have it forever.

♥ 5)  "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" -Romans 10:9 KJV. You have a choice, has there ever been a time in your life where you admitted to God that you are a sinner? Or ask for forgiveness? Or where you asked God to save you? This verse says thou shalt be saved, which means you will be saved.

♥ Finally, if you believed all of these things in your heart, please ask God to save you right now. We are not guaranteed another day. It doesn't have to be a fancy prayer, but something like this is wonderful:

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know I deserve to go to hell. Please forgive me of all my sin and give me eternal life. I am not trusting in my works. I am not trusting in my religion. I am only trusting in YOU. Amen.
